About Read to Raise

Read to Raise is a fundraiser hosted by the San José Public Library Foundation to raise funds for Literary Arts programs at the San José Public Library (SJPL), including Summer Learning and Winter Reading. Participants can win fun prizes at the end of the program.

How it Works

Read to Raise is a read-a-thon fundraiser. Winter Reading participants can have their reading sponsored by friends or family. For example, a friend can commit to donating $10 for every book read by the participant.

The benefits of Read to Raise include supporting Literary Arts programs with the funds raised, motivating readers to read more, and offering a chance to win cool prizes.
